I'm struggling with painful memories. However, it is in this pain that Jesus is still with me. Eventually, these memories will fade and be replaced with God's eternal love.
Indeed. I've often wondered about the breadth of Paul's expression "fellowship of Christ's sufferings" (Phil. 3:10). I doubt it just includes physical pain, for emotional/memory pain is just as torturous at times.
It is said that time heals everything. It has been 1 1/2 years since my wife passed. The pain is still there but when it comes on, I now feel Jesus right along beside me.
