Dangit Shane you have my eyes watering up. I just want to share that I am the protector and sometimes, ok often, do not feel God protecting me; I know he does. Over the last few days I have finished your new book, shared some of it with family and felt rebuffed some. I do not know you well, yet I feel for you and can only imagine the season you are going through. My brother, have peace and know you are loved, if not always by those in this realm, by the God of Creation.

Very touching and honest. Really appreciate you as one who experienced something that was so dark. I did as well. Sometimes expressing Love may be as simple as Being Still and knowing He is God. Heaven promises no more tears. I have forgiven the relative who I saw before His death a changed person. I have moved on and confessed my Sin in thought and in deed. Blessings.

Same, dear friend. Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. Oh that we all would live with hearts and lives of grace toward even our greatest enemy. My how the world and our churches would change overnight. Praying for you right now by name.

As a former mental health professional I greatly appreciated this revelation that is hard to go public with. After having to maintain a healthy distance with clients I could go home and leave it at the office but I also had difficulty letting my guard down at home. I hope my adult children did not suffer from that but sometimes I wonder if they do. A struggle with anything is a healthy sign of first and foremost an indication you are still human.

I appreciate your words of wisdom here, friend. It is, indeed, hard to know how many of the wounds we carry that are or are not passed to our children. And yet, the work of the Lord is redemption. So I will entrust it to him. Praying grace and peace over your right now.

Wow. Sitting here with tears in my eyes and a heart hurting for your pain. It’s hard to understand why God allows such pain, but we know it makes us stronger. Stronger in weakness. Love is such a powerful emotion, and that’s not really surprising since God is pure love. It’s no wonder that no one could look on his face and live, because we can’t handle that kind of love. We have to turn away.

Indeed, dear friend. Every tear shed from our eyes is a deposit promised to be healed by the tenderness of our God.
